Fun Day with Ugg Australia

Recently, I was contacted by Ugg Australia to come visit their local store.  Living in Chicago, where we have our fair share of snowy days, I'm very familiar with the Ugg brand.  The boots are somewhat of a necessity for both adults and children trying to stay warm during the long winter months.

I will admit though, that I didn't know anything about their other styles and wasn't sure what to expect.  Spoiler alert: I was very pleasantly surprised!

Here I am at the store (909 N. Rush St Chicago) checking out some of their new Spring collection.  Can you believe these shoes are from Ugg Australia? Who knew? Aside from being cute and on trend, I will say that like the boots, the quality of the sandals were excellent.

Check out my HOT sandals? I was so torn between getting these sky high platforms or a more practical flat. In the end, the practical side of me won but I'm still thinking about those sandals!!!

Here we are with store managers, Tim and Sarah who were so helpful and fun. If it weren't for the second part of our day, I probably would have overstayed my welcome and just hung out there all day with them!

Ta Da! Check out our new kicks!

Next, they sent us to the zoo to enjoy the rest of the day with our new shoes.

Can I just say I'm kind of in love with my new Ugg Australia studded flats? Not only are they chic from the outside, but the inside is lined with that same sheepskin we know and love!

A big thank you to Ugg Australia for such a memorable day!

You know those moments when you just can't seem to write anything of value?  I'm having one of those moments...it could be the late hour or that second glass of wine but whatever the case, I'm at a loss for words so I'll keep this short and sweet.

I wanted to do a sexy, sleek look for the last outfit featuring the crop top.  I kept everything very black and minimal.  That is all.

Here is the 3 day summary of looks using the same crop top.  Through this experiment, I realized that a bustier crop top can very well become an essential staple to one's closet.  An epiphany for sure.

Matchy Matchy Crop Top Look

I normally hate anything matchy matchy but this season, I have to admit I'm kinda into it.  It only works if it's very obviously, deliberately matching like a printed top with the matching pants or printed blazer with matching shorts.  Speaking of which, I've been on the hunt for an affordable printed short suit like this one by Juicy Couture.  If you have seen one, help a sister out.

For the second look with this crop top, I paired it with the matching high waisted skirt.  I added my knit moto vest to break it up a bit and also, if we're being candid, to hide the jelly roll that was oozing out of my midsection.  I guess I should've done some planks and passed on the buffalo wings last week when I was taking these pictures.  A special shoutout this week to my trusty moto vest.  Job well done.

Casual Crop Top Look

Target Crop Top (similar)  |  Paper Crown High Waisted Shorts (similar)  |  Luv AJ Crystal Cross Necklace

Here is my first look using the aformentioned crop top.  I paired it with high waisted shorts, flat sandals and a backpack from over 10 years ago!  Like I said, there is only be a tiny sliver of skin, if that.  If I had my pre-baby bod or worked out ever, perhaps I would have revealed another inch of skin (I know, so racy of me!) but ah well, those days are gone and that is A-okay by me. The moral of the story is, don't be afraid of the crop top.  You can rock it without revealing much or any skin!
